Welcome to the St. Gregorios Orthodox Society's web site.
St. Gregorios Orthodox Society (SGOS) is a global organization, instituted by believers in the Malankara Orthodox Church who seek solace and protection in the intercessory prayers of Saint Gregorios of Parumala. Taking Parumala Thirumeni's saintly life as a model, SGOS emphasizes one to lead a true Christian life. It links together the members of the Malankara Orthodox Church in India and abroad to stand united through the chain of PRAYER, SHARE & CARE. It also trains the up-coming generation to live confidently and courageously, through Christian wisdom in this fast changing, modern world.
To remain truly global and to maintain a web-based communication link, the presence of SGOS on the World Wide Web is essential and this web site as well as the SGOS Yahoogroup were the first steps in this direction. The links to the application form for the membership of the SGOS and the SGOS calendar for the year 2004, with important days of Indian Orthodox church are available at this site.
